Biography

Bruce Lounsbury is the founder and former CEO of the Newterra Environmental Group, a leader in the design and manufacturing of modular water and wastewater treatment systems with operations in Canada, US, Europe and South America.  Under his direction, Newterra grew from a start-up in Brockville, Ontario to a global company with more than 200 employees and 6 operating locations worldwide, serving industrial, energy, mining and residential/commercial customers.  In 2015, Mr. Lounsbury joined XPV Water Partners, a growth equity investment firm that focusses on water related investments, as Executive in Residence assisting in new investment opportunities.

Throughout his career, Mr. Lounsbury has maintained a strong commitment to volunteering and community, serving on the boards of such organizations as the United Way of Leeds and Grenville, United Way/Centraide Ontario, St. Lawrence College, Brockville General Hospital and the Kingston Health Sciences Centre (KGH and Hotel Dieu amalgamated hospital) in a variety of roles including President of UWLG, Chair of UWO and Vice-Chair of the St. Lawrence College Board of Governors. Mr. Lounsbury holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Queen’s University and a Masters in Management Science from Carleton University.  He lives in Brockville with his wife Susan and enjoys travel and attempting to keep up with his three adult sons.  He is an avid skier, golfer, cyclist and woodworker as well as an active participant in many outdoor sports and activities.
